The shading system design covers all bases needed in modern office buildings, including entry of direct sunlight, maintenance of comfort levels, provision of a view, minimal solar glare, and while still maximising the building’s overall energy efficiency. Each tower responds to its unique geographic and environmental condition, along with changing solar load throughout the day.

Approximately 5,000 Somfy Sonesse 40 WT motors were used in the project, chosen as they are renowned for being a quiet, premium solution befitting these world class buildings.

The Somfy powered roller blinds were manufactured by Verosol and Hunter Douglas who partnered with KWA Blinds and Turner Brothers respectively.

The performance fabrics used in the project reflect up to 70 per cent of solar energy, thus providing thermal protection while optimising natural light.
