Reliable, accurate and easy simulation with ESBO (Early Stage Building Optimisation)
ESBO is the first building simulation software fully endorsed by ES-SO and based on the calculation engine in IDA ICE - the market leading tool for simulation of energy and indoor climate in northern Europe. With ESBO the use of dynamic solar shading can be simulated according to the established ISO 15099. Work is also ongoing to implement the new EN/ISO 52022-3.
ES-SO ESBO is designed to support you, and give reliable and accurate information, during the complete process – from idea to finished building. All imaginable important input parameters can be managed like solar shading, glass, room design, climate and environmental conditions (3.700 cities in 155 countries from Ashrae 2013), customer requests and legislation. Results are both energy and temperatures as well as details about the shading/window combinations. G tot (SHGC), U value, T vis etc.
The program runs in English, Finish, French, German, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
As from version 2.2 spectral data is implemented on both shading materials and glass giving even further accuracy in the outputs showing the full potential in benefits from smart shading solutions. From early 2018 you will also find more and more shading materials marked “ESSDA approved” in the fabric selection table. ESSDA is the new ES-SO database on shading material data. This verifies that all presented performance data has been
A) measured according to standards in a certified way
B) peer validated by peer reviewers appointed by ES-SO before being published. An added reliability factor for you as user.
Various control strategies are also included like Sun, Get Heat/Preserve Heat.
The program is available in two version. ES-SO ESBO Light, which is 100% free to download and use, or the full paid version, ES-SO ESBO.
By clicking the below link you will be re-directed to the ES-SO ESBO page where you can both read some more, download the free version or order the full version.
(A full manual is included in both program versions.)
Good Luck with your Project!
